802.11b Security
Unauthorized access to the WLAN can be prevented by using
WEP which is a security protocol for encrypting data
transmitted over the WLAN. When WEP is enabled, the
workstation or laptop attempting to access the WLAN must use a
WEP key to authenticate its data transmissions.
